Trail of Lost Souls Visit (2021)

Updated: Oct 8, 2021

Location: 2080 Main St, West Point, KY 40177

Overall Score: N/A (New Haunt)

  • Cast/Actors:

  • The Cast of Actors that we encountered during both of our visits did a good job at making sure we were either scared or entertained. Being this was their first year open in the location they are currently at, we understand that the Lost Souls will only grow stronger as more victims, I mean Visitors venture into the deep dark woods. Most of the Lost Souls we encountered during our journey did give our group a good startle, and some we encountered were a little quiet. Most of the characters we encountered did a great job at blending in with their environment, so you never knew where or when they would attack! I give Kudos to the entire Cast for giving us an experience to remember! I see great things ahead for all the Lost Souls who roam these grounds! As some may know the Haunt truly did loose a Soul. We would like to rev up our Chainsaws in Memory to an amazing person who was lost this Season, Chainsaw Robbie. Robbie was new to the Lost Souls Haunt, but man was he amazing! Robbie made sure we were entertained as well as scared for our lives as we left the Haunt. Kudos Robbie! The Haunt Community will continue to keep you in our Hearts!

  • Customer Service:

  • Customer Service was excellent! We enjoyed our talk we had with the Ticket Seller Terri Thompsett as well as the Ticket Taker Jennifer Hall just before we entered the Haunt. Everyone was very Welcoming and asked us how our trip down was, and we talked back and forth about being in the Haunt industry. We did not get a chance to try out any of the Foods or stop at any of the other vendor booths, but from what we could see while passing all the Customers they were taking care of seemed very happy.

  • Scare Rating:

  • As mentioned above, we did encounter a few scares during our visit, but not many. Beings this is the first year the Lost Souls have been welcomed to roam the grounds, they are still getting a feel for the Visitors who they encounter. The scares we did encounter were in the form of a startle jump scare, which in my books is an A+ way to scare the Customers! I am excited to see what the next few Seasons bring as far as next level scares, etc.

  • Atmosphere:

  • The atmosphere of the Haunt was Perfect!!! The Haunt is set in a wooded area close to the Ohio River, so you for sure get that creepy bog type feel in the atmosphere. With not much music going on around you, that just adds to the creep factor as well! The set designs that we encountered were very detailed and fit the Haunt very well. The only thing I would have liked to see was more lighting in each scene, just so we could see the details in each scene better. There is lots of room to grow and I see a lot more Lost Souls joining in over the next few seasons as well!

  • Special Effects:

  • We encountered a few bits of special effects during our visit. The main effect we encountered was strobe lights. There was quite a bit of strobes, so please be aware of that if you plan to visit. We also encountered fog, laser lights, startles, and a few other types of lighting effects. We were very pleased with the effects we did encounter and are excited to see what more effects are added in the future Seasons!

  • New Scenes:

  • N/A (New Haunt)

  • Time Inside Haunt:

  • Our Journey through the Haunt seemed to be about a good 20 minutes or so. We felt that the Haunt was a decent size for being its opening Season. The Build/Design Crew did an awesome job at winding us through the wooded area very well. Like mentioned earlier there is so much room to grow, and we can’t wait to see what the Build/Design Crew do next!
