The cast was absolutely incredible! From stepping into the queue line, to the exit, everyone stayed in character and provided one hell of a show! Was awesome to finally meet Pumpkin Smasher (Maximus Christian Bryant). Pumpkin Smasher really fell in love with one of our Crew Members shirts, as it had a Pumpkin on it! 😊 We really enjoyed the two Scarecrow Characters in the queue line this Season as well! The Cast this Season really turned their energy level up to MAXIMUM FEAR this Season and we loved every bit of it!! The Characters that we encountered were very creepy and made sure that we knew we were not to be roaming the Halls during Class! We encountered many new Characters this Season as well as some of the Favorites from our past visit. Shoutout to the Ghost on the Zipline (Lenaya Speece) for both scaring the crap out of our group, as well as entertaining us after the Scare. We were totally caught off guard by her scare, Kudos! We also really enjoyed the performance from the Mad Doctor (Heidi Pulskamp). What a great way to grab the attention of a group, and then BAM, unexpected jump scare, great job!! This Season we were able to enter the Slaughter Yard, located behind the Schoolhouse, which introduced us to a whole new set of Characters! During our journey we were both scared and entertained by the entire Cast! One Butcher (Chris Varin) really stood out to us, as he made sure our group was entertained! The Slaughter Yard is one to experience!

From the Ticket sales window, to the Merchandise booth, the staff were very prompt and professional! Kudos goes out to Sara Bolser, who was working the Merchandise booth! Sara was very polite with us and was very helpful with any questions we had. Kudos goes out to Bud Stross (Co-Owner of Dent) for Welcoming our Group and giving us the details of what all we can expect this Season!
Scare Rating: 9
The cast startled us quite a few times, which isn't too easy to do! Like mentioned above, the Cast really turned the FEAR up to EXTREME this Season! There were many different types of scares as well this Season, from jump scares, startle scares, and some scares you just must experience for yourself! Kudos to the Entire Cast!
Atmosphere: 10
The atmosphere this Season made it hard to leave! It fit every aspect of what we love about the season! One Awesome new addition is the remodel of the Fall Festival queue line section. Man, I could have stayed in that area for Hours! Such amazing work and detail have gone into this section this Season! The Build/Design Team did an absolute Amazing job! Some of the detail can be seen in our photos below but be warned you will not want to leave once you enter!!! The detail inside the Schoolhouse is always amazing as well. Some scenes we entered got fresh new details and some rooms were completely new! Our favorite area of the Schoolhouse is the Clown Carnival section! You never know who is real and who is just clowning around! Like mentioned above, we were introduced to the Slaughter Yard portion of the Haunt during our 2021 visit, and we really enjoyed exploring this portion of the Haunt. As you make your way through the maze of walls and rooms, you really do feel like you are lost inside an abandon Slaughter Yard! Be sure to venture into the Slaughter Yard this Season, you won’t be disappointed.
Special Effects: 9
The effects were awesome, even some of the simplest were executed with excellence! Some of the special effects you will encounter during your journey are video effects, lighting effects, startles, fog, scents, bubble foam, and so much more! I don’t want to give too much away, as you must experience them all for yourself!
Value: 10
This Dent Schoolhouse is definitely worth the Ticket prices. We would highly recommend you get the Fast Pass tickets, as this will give you the best Value, since the Haunt does get very busy and the lines can get pretty long. The Dent Schoolhouse is a very popular Haunt in the Ohio area, and we recommend getting in line as early as you can!
New Scenes: 10
One major new addition is the remodel of the Fall Festival outside in the queue line area. As mentioned above, this Area is AMAZING! Inside the Haunt we did experience a few new rooms that really fit well in with the flow of the Haunt, and we really enjoyed that. Being this was our first visit to the “Halloween Season” haunt, we are kind of unsure what was changed around, etc. Hands down what we experienced inside the Haunt will blow your mind! You will not be disappointed as you make your first or return visit inside the Schoolhouse this Season!
Time Inside Haunt: 10
Perfection! Not too long, not too short. Our visit this Season did seem longer than our visit last Season, which was during an off-Season event so we can’t really compare that to Haunt Season, but we were not disappointed by any means. We were inside the Haunt what seemed like a good 30 to 40 minutes. There were moments when we were rushed by groups of scared Customers, but we just let them slide right on by us, as we wanted to enjoy the Haunt Scenes and Scares. Be sure to take your time and do not rush through the Haunt, as you may take the chance of missing the amazing details The Dent Schoolhouse has to offer!
