The Blood River 2021 Review (Oct. 2nd)

Location: 165 Dawson Drive Shepherdsville, KY 40165

Overall Score: N/A (New Haunt)

  • Cast/Actors:

  • The Cast of Actors that we encountered during our visit through J.R. Malice's Maze of Terror did do a great job at giving us a few jump scares that we weren't expecting. The Haunt did seem to have a light crew, but the Characters we did encounter made sure they knew we were trespassing. Captain Big Ern did a great job Welcoming us onto his Bus Tour and made sure that we were entertained our entire Journey.

  • Customer Service:

  • The Staff and Crew we encountered were very friendly! We enjoyed our talk with Madame J, as she explained to us what all she had to offer at her Concession and Confectionery stand.

  • Scare Rating:

  • As mentioned above, we did encounter a few scares during our visit, but not many. Beings this is the first year for the Haunt we were not upset about this. We have faith that the Scares will grow as the Season goes on for sure. The scares we did encounter were in the form of a startle jump scare, which in my books is an A+ way to scare the Customers! The scares we did encounter were at a Family Friendly level of scare, so if you have some youngsters in your group they will do just fine!

  • Special Effects:

  • One special effect we encountered during our visit that we enjoyed was The River Monster. We don't want to give away too many details, but we do encourage you and your Crew to take a ride on Captain Big Ern's Tour Bus and experience The River Monster Live in Person!

  • New Scenes:

  • N/A (New Haunt)

  • Time Inside Haunt:

  • Our Journey through the Haunt seemed to be about a good 15 minutes or so. There is so much room to grow, and we can’t wait to see what the Build/Design Crew do next!
