Sinister Tomb 2020 Review Visit #2 (Oct. 31st)

Location: 3246 Meeting Creek Road Eastview, KY 42732

Overall Score: 9/10

  • Cast/Actors: 9

  • This was our second visit to Sinister Tombs this Season and let me tell you, the Actor kept that high energy this visit as well! The Actors did an awesome job at interacting with our group, and made sure that we were entertained throughout our entire Halloween Night Visit! We especially like the way that the Actors interact with you throughout your visit. During your Journey there are times you will encounter total darkness, and times you may come across some very strange things, but rest assured the Monsters inside will keep you entertained the entire time!!!! Great Job!!!!

  • Customer Service: 10

  • Customer Service was Awesome once again!!! The Staff at Sinister Tombs are very awesome friendly people! We had the opportunity to meet some of the Owners this visit, and really enjoyed getting to talk with them! Very nice awesome people for sure!! The Staff inside the Ticket booth were very nice as well. We were Welcomed and Thanked for visiting again. Once sent to get in line we were greeted once again by the Staff telling the rules, this Staff Member was very friendly as well! The Staff have a very Family friendly attitude and that is very nice to be around!

  • Scare Rating: 8

  • The scares were for sure happening this second trip! There were plenty times that we were thrown off guard by the Actors! There were a lot of startle scares this trip for sure!!! Sinister Tombs is set up in a way that you are more immersed into a theatrical journey with a few scars along your way. Don't let that keep you away, the scares are for sure included!!!

  • Atmosphere: 9

  • The atmosphere at Sinister Toms is AMAZING!!! We really enjoyed the set designs that we came across. For a Haunt that is Family ran, they do an Amazing job at their set design! The Haunt Journey takes you through many different buildings as well as journeys through their very creepy quiet woods, and corn fields, so you are always surrounded by very awesome atmospheres. Some areas were very dull lit if we had to add one negative, but the rest was very awesome!

  • Special Effects: 7.5

  • Special effects were present during our Journey through the Tomb, but they were very sparse. We did encounter many fog effects, video effects, as well as lighting effects during our journey that were very well accomplished. The fog effect in a certain section by far was our Groups favorite part! We don't want to give away too many details, we don't want to spoil what lurks during your Journey through Sinister Tombs...

  • Value: 10

  • The value hands down is well worth it! The size of the Haunt and the amount of time you spend taking your journey through the Haunt is very well balanced. This was our second trip through the Haunt and we were very satisfied with the value that we spent to enter the Haunt, and the amount of time we were inside the Haunt.

  • New Scenes: N/A

  • This was our second 2020 visit to Sinister Tombs, so we are unsure at this time what new scenes were added vs last Season.

  • Time Inside Haunt: 10

  • Your Journey inside the Tomb can last you anywhere from 45 mins to an hour, depending on if you decide to get lost in a certain section....Shhhh we can't give away any secrets like we mentioned earlier. We feel that the time we spent inside that Haunt was excellent. We were not rushed through the Haunt by any of the Actors at anytime. Each Actor welcomed us into their Home/Scene and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the show.

  • COVID-19 Safety Protocols: 10

  • COVID-19 protocols were the best we have seen so far at all the Haunts we have visited so far! As you approach the Ticket booth/Gift Shop you are greeted with a large signs that explain the new COVID-19 protocols. The Staff even had the capacity of the Ticket Booth marked, allowing one guest in at a time to purchase their tickets and or Gifts. Once we purchased our tickets we were then sat into separate waiting booths away from other groups of guests, to wait our turn to enter the Haunt. As we waited inside our groups building we were asked if we had or needed a face covering and or gloves. We also had our temperatures taken before we entered the Haunt. This was the first Haunt that we have been offered PPE before we entered the Haunt. Once we were given the new protocol rules we were then let inside the Haunt with just members from our group. Once inside the Haunt all Actors were wearing face coverings of some sort and were also partaking in the new six feet distance protocol. We felt very safe while taking our Journey through the Haunt!
