Overall Score: 9/10
Cast/Actors: 9
During our Journey visit we were greeted by many different creatures, Monsters, and inhabitants of the Tomb! We were not let down for sure on our first Visit! The Actors in each scene did an excellent job at interacting with us at a safe distance of course, by asking us questions, or involving someone from our group in each scene. All Actors did an excellent job at giving us the creep factor that fit within their scene/skit. We only encountered one Actor that did seem a bit shy and was very spoken, but she did not let us down at all.
Customer Service: 10
Customer Service was Excellent! Each Staff Member that we encountered during our visit was very Welcoming and made sure we felt right at home! The Ladies taking tickets were very sweet and loved listing to our Stories of how our group has worked in the Haunt Industry and she shared her stories with us as well, we felt like we had known Her for years. The Staff inside the ticket hut/gift shop area were very nice as well! The staff member allowed us to browse their selection at our own pace and even gave us her thoughts on what we were looking through/going to purchase as well. Can't say it enough, the Staff was Super Friendly!!
Scare Rating: 9
The scares were Alive for sure! There weren't very many of them, but the ones that we did encounter were for sure ones to remember! Having worked in the Haunt Industry for many years we have tended to not get as scared anymore, but man did the Monsters in the Tomb know how to get us! Jump Scares/Startle Scares!
Atmosphere: 9
The atmosphere of each scene was nice! There were lots of fine details that went into each scene that had us immersed into the scenes atmosphere for sure! Special effect in some scenes as well help out as well with putting you into the scenes atmosphere. The walks through the buildings, which led to a journey through the woods, and then back into buildings, which led into a corn field, really set the mood, and being an outdoor mostly Haunt really helped set the mood, and the Weather was Amazing!
Special Effects: 7.5
Special effects were present during our Journey through the Tomb, but they were very sparse. We did encounter many fog effects, video effects, as well as lighting effects during our journey that were very well accomplished. The fog effect in a certain section by far was our Groups favorite part! We don't want to give away too many details, as we don't want to spoil what lurks inside the Tomb...
Value: 10
The value hands down is well worth it! The size of the Haunt and the amount of time you spend taking your journey through the Haunt is very well balanced. We had never visited the Tomb before and traveled an hour to visit the Haunt and walked away very satisfied with the value that we spent to enter the Haunt, and the amount of time we were inside the Haunt.
New Scenes: N/A
This was our first visit to Sinister Tombs, so we are unsure at this time what new scenes were added vs last Season.
Time Inside Haunt: 9
Your Journey inside the Tomb will last you anywhere from 45 mins to an hour, depending on if you decide to get lost in a certain section....Shhhh we can't give away any secrets like we mentioned earlier. We feel that the time we spent inside that Haunt was excellent. We were not rushed through the Haunt by any of the Actors at anytime. Each Actor welcomed us into their Home/Scene and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the show.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols: 10
COVID-19 protocols were the best we have seen so far at all the Haunts we have visited so far! As you approach the Ticket booth/Gift Shop you are greeted with a large signs that explain the new COVID-19 protocols. The Staff even had the capacity of the Ticket Booth marked, allowing one guest in at a time to purchase their tickets and or Gifts. Once we purchased our tickets we were then sat into separate waiting booths away from other groups of guests, to wait our turn to enter the Haunt. As we waited inside our groups building we were asked if we had or needed a face covering and or gloves. This was the first Haunt that we had ever been offered PPE before we entered the Haunt. Once we were given the new protocol rules we were then let inside the Haunt with just members from our group. Once inside the Haunt all Actors were wearing face coverings of some sort and were also partaking in the new six feet distance protocol. We felt very safe while taking our Journey through the Haunt!
