Malice Manor 2021 Review (Sept.4th)

Updated: Sep 12, 2021

Location: 640 Providence Way, Clarksville, IN 47129

Overall Score: 9/10

  • Cast/Actors: 9

  • I would like to start by giving each Cast Member a round of applause for putting one one kick ass show for us Saturday! Our Journey began as the door to the Manor opened, and we were greeted by Ambrose (Olliver Benton), who told us a stellar, very creepy back story of what Malice Manor is all about. Once let into the Manor by crawling/crouching through the fireplace we were greeted with some very interesting characters inside the Manor! Each Character we encountered was very leery of us creeping through their Manor, and some warned us to leave or else, something Evil would come! The Actors do an amazing job at hiding within the set design and scaring you at the right moment. On our journey we came across many new Manor inhabitants! One that really stood out to us was inside the Dark Arts room. Shout out to Aine (Merideth Ritchie) for giving us all the creeps and chills, she was for sure possessed! Lots of new Characters this Season for sure!!! In need of some not so spoiled Meat....Be sure to stop by and see Butch the Butcher! (Alan Linville Jr.)

  • Customer Service: 10

  • The Staff at Malice Manor are Super Friendly and will help you with any questions or concerns you may have. The Staff at both the Ticket Booth and the Merchandise area were very Helpful and Friendly!

  • Scare Rating: 8.5

  • Every Actor we encountered during our journey did a great job at giving us a startle as we entered their rooms, and most all actors followed the scare forward technique that is being used in many Haunts. Shout out to Nihilus, the Sluagh (Jimmy VooDoo Singleton) who scared the heck out of one of our group members as we entered the vibrating floor room. Nihilus, the Sluagh for sure turned the Fear and Rage up to 100, and we loved every moment of it!!!

  • Atmosphere: 9

  • The Haunt has AMAZING atmospheric detail for sure hands down this Season!!! The Building/Design Crew did an amazing job this Season with the queue line entrance and all throughout the Haunt! You never feel like you are being taken out of the Manors Atmosphere. Not to give away too much details, but the Manor has for sure got an upgrade this Season! Just be prepared to be in ahhh as you take your journey through the Manor for sure!

  • Special Effects: 8

  • This Season the Manor has added a few new effects that I really thought were a perfect touch that the Manor needed. One effect in particular can be experienced while waiting in the queue line to enter the Manor. Like last Season you will encounter many different types of special effects, from scents, to water, to total darkness, video effects, and so much more.

  • Value: 10

  • This Season brings you a lot of new scenes and a much larger footprint than last year. I would highly recommend you pay a visit to the New and Improved Malice Manor!!

  • New Scenes: 10

  • The Management/Build Crew did an amazing job with all the new scenes that you encounter this Season! Each new addition flows very well within the Manor and helps tell the back story of the Manor, as mentioned before you enter by Ambrose. One of our favorite new additions is the queue line. The new queue line is just what the Manor needed! It is a work of Art, absolutely beautiful!!! We also really enjoyed the new Dark Arts scene, and Aine (Merideth Ritchie) really helps pull you into Her environment! This years scenes are very well detailed and the Actors really tie the scenes together!

  • Time Inside Haunt: 9

  • This years time inside the Haunt was for sure a lot longer than last Season. I feel like we explored more scenes, and were interacted with more in each room of the Manor than last season.
